An LCD would have been cheaper, thinner and easier to source. We tried one for a month. Here is why the tube won.

No. Joining is free and there is no deposit. When your batch opens we email a payment link at the founder price of $249. You have 72 hours to confirm, and you can still say no.
After you join you get a personal link. Every friend who joins with it moves you up 50 places, with no limit, and your number updates the same night.
Shipping is free to the UK, the EU, the US and Canada. Australia, New Zealand and Japan follow with Batch 3, once the radio is certified there.
Once a night, for a small download of fresh orbital elements. Without Wi-Fi it keeps predicting passes from its last update for 14 days, and GPS gives it your exact position.
The 5-inch tube sits in a sealed, shielded chassis built to the same safety standards as any desk appliance, and the shell stays cool to the touch. It sleeps between passes, so a nightly routine should give it many years of life.
Yes. The space station and most passes it alerts you to are bright enough to see from a city centre. By default it leaves out faint passes you would struggle to see, and you can widen the list if your sky is darker.
Use the link at the bottom of any email and we delete your address the same day. Your number is not passed on, and the friends you brought keep their places.
